The farm’s livestock is located in Piandelvino, a hamlet of Isolaccia, situated on the plateau connecting lower Pedenosso to the village.
With the arrival of summer, the cows and calves are moved to the mountain pasture, where they remain until autumn. This is the period during which the calves develop strength and resilience, resulting in meat that is flavorful and genuine.
At the end of summer, the calves are brought back to the stable.
This marks the beginning of the fattening phase, with a diet consisting of grains (barley, corn), hay, straw, and silage.
It goes without saying — yet it’s essential — that all components of their diet are subject to strict quality control, primarily ensured by ourselves, as both farmers and breeders. We personally monitor the feed given to our animals, guaranteeing its quality every step of the way.
On our farm, we store hay using a traditional method: it is collected with self-loading wagons and stored in the hayloft in large stacks. These stacks are then dried using warm air, allowing the freshly cut (but not fully dried) grass to retain its best nutritional properties.
